Seawoods Farmhouse & Cottage This spacious and beautifully renovated 2 1/2 bedroom, 2 full bath farmhouse offers serenity, seclusion and comfort.
Seawoods Farmhouse boasts a nice open living room, hardwood floors, and many fine amenities (including an organic garden!), all on a gorgeous farm setting.
On the same property you also have Seawoods Cottage which can be rented for an additional cost. Together both homes accommodate a group of up to 12 people.
From Seawoods Farmhouse & Cottage just walk out the door and in about 5 minutes you can enjoy the majesty of Patrick’s Point State Park. Walk the breathtaking Rim trail overlooking the rocky coast or walk down the steps to Agate Beach and hunt for treasures and agates! You are a 5 minute drive to the village of Trinidad as well as Big Lagoon State Park, an 8 mile estuary nestled on the coast. Just 20 minutes north to the Redwoods National and State Parks, home to the largest trees in the world!
Humboldt Bay Social Club & Oyster Beach These two adjacent properties are located at the southern end of the Samoa Peninsula on Humboldt Bay. To the West you have a boutique hotel located on the historic grounds of a WWII blimp base. The officers’ quarters were transformed into a fly-in bed and breakfast, which operated through the 1970s. Humboldt Bay Social Club recently renovated the abandoned building and reopened as Samoa Field in May 2017.
To the East, vacation rental homes are scattered across 16 bayfront acres called Oyster Beach. Oyster Beach is not a resort with manicured lawns, cabanas on the beach, or spa facilities….
It is a secluded, wild, and scenic place. The land was a family ranch established in the 1890s, and each home has been restored in homage to its historic roots. The homes at Oyster Beach are cozy and stylish, but simple by design.
Combined, the Humboldt Bay Social Club offers 4 separate suites at Samoa Field and 5 separate cabins at Oyster Beach. All guests have access to both properties as well as a Lobby Bar that sells Humboldt Bay oysters by the bag, picnic meals, beers and wine by the bucket, and charcoal and grilling supplies “to go.” Guests are welcome to use our outdoor picnic area to grill their own oysters, play bocce and cornhole, or just relax in Adirondack chairs and enjoy the view of the dunes. The Lobby Bar also serves select craft cocktails and is available for private and semi-private events and parties. This is literally the ultimate of all group getaway destinations!
All together these 3 separate rentals sleep up to 11 guests. The large yard is shared by all and there is also a shared sauna space! The location is great for walking to cafes, restaurants, theaters, lounges, parks & Humboldt State University, and is only about a 40 minute drive to Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park & Lady Bird Johnson Trail, with over 100 miles of hiking trails.
Cream City Cottage & Studio Cream City Cottage, in the Victorian Village of Ferndale, is a Charming 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath home built in 1934. The cheery, private back patio contains an antique brick fireplace, now dubbed “The Marshmallow Cooker” for more unplugged family fun.
The separate studio, at the back of this large property, is a converted carriage house with a full bath with standing shower, queen bed, landscaped yard with a handmade wooden playhouse, wifi, satellite TV, and sun room. Very cute, and perfect for one or two additional people. The main house plus the studio are a nice combination for families traveling together.
